Twenty children showed up for this event which was a book launch and at the same time, a benefit for the New York Institute.
Each child was accompanied by at least one adult, and in some cases, many more than one adult — I spoke to grandparents, godparents and friends of the family. Three or four moms had been in my prenatal class and were introducing me to their 3 or 4 year olds for the first time.
I am still learning how to teach yoga to children. During this ‘workshop’, I was surprised at how intent, engaged and focused the children were. And their joy touched all of us — this teacher, the parents, helpers, and the other yoga teachers who were present were all charmed and uplifted. I think the pictures speak for themselves!
